Biosimilars Advisory Service Analyst Call

Substitution and Interchangeability: Physician Perspectives and Market Impact

— An Analyst Call from Decision Resources’ Biosimilars Advisory Service

As part of our Biosimilars Advisory Service, Decision Resources is offering an exclusive analyst call entitled Substitution and Interchangeability: Physician Perspectives and Market Impact. This analyst call is open ONLY to subscribers of Decision Resources’ Biosimilars Advisory Service.

Please contact us to learn how you can purchase this service and attend the analyst call.

According to Decision Resources’ research in biosimilars, an important market forecast assumption is that pharmacy-level substitution of a branded biologic for a biosimilar will not occur in major pharmaceutical markets. This assumption has an enormous impact on the corporate and competitive dynamics of the biosimilars landscape and has recently been put to the test in Norway. This analyst call will examine physician perspectives on pharmacy-level substitution and explore an alternative forecast should current assumptions change.

This analyst call, presented by Decision Resources Director Michael Malecki, Ph.D., will answer the following questions:

  • Where do we stand today with respect to substitution and interchangeability, and how does our current status inform our forecast assumptions?
  • How do our forecast assumptions with respect to substitution influence other market forecast assumptions?
  • How do physicians view pharmacy-level substitution across specialties?
  • How would our market forecast change if we revised our assumptions regarding pharmacy-level substitution? How much more money would brands lose to biosimilars?
