Biosimilars Advisory Service Analyst Call

How Will Physician Acceptance of Biosimilars Vary by Specialty?

— An Analyst Call from Decision Resources’ Biosimilars Advisory Service

As part of our Biosimilars Advisory Service, Decision Resources is offering an exclusive analyst call entitled How Will Physician Acceptance of Biosimilars Vary by Specialty? This analyst call is open ONLY to subscribers of Decision Resources’ Biosimilars Advisory Service.

Please contact us to learn how you can purchase this service and attend the analyst call.

Across major markets, the lack of automatic substitution of biosimilars will force biosimilars’ manufacturers to promote uptake among prescribing physicians. Understanding which physician specialties are concerned with which aspects of biosimilars’ production, clinical validation and marketing will be crucial to success in launching a biosimilar and/or defending a brand from biosimilar erosion. Based on our survey of 482 specialists across three countries (U.S., France and Germany) and six specialties, this analyst call will answer the following questions:

  • Which physician specialties indicate the greatest future acceptance of biosimilars?
  • How do current physician expectations for uptake of biosimilars compare to the experience of already-marketed biosimilars in Europe?
  • How will “biobetters” be accepted, and how will acceptance vary across specialties?
  • Which companies do physicians and payers trust most to market biosimilars?

The analyst call will be presented by Product Director Michael Malecki, Ph.D.
