The success of marketed targeted therapies has had an enormous impact on the treatment of cancer, and targeted drugs such as Novartis’s Gleevec and Genentech/Roche/Chugai’s Rituxan, Herceptin and Avastin continue to generate blockbuster sales that are drawing more and more pharmaceutical companies into the field. The targeted therapy pipeline is full of novel compounds, and drug developers will face intense competition and pressure to differentiate their products to gain reimbursement and claim market share. However, a recent survey of U.S. oncologists found considerable concern about the cost of targeted therapies. Drug manufacturers will need to prepare for a more hostile reimbursement environment in the future.

This webinar, presented by Decision Resources Analyst Barbara M. Bolten, M.S., MBA will discuss:

  • The challenges and opportunities facing companies operating in the marketplace of targeted therapeutics
  • The key trends and drivers sustaining and changing the targeted cancer therapy market
  • Reimbursement policies, market access, and intense competition that will create risk for developers of targeted cancer therapies
  • The outlook for the targeted cancer therapy industry

Ms. Bolten and Pricing and Reimbursement Research Director Neil Grubert, M.A., will conduct a live Q & A session after the presentation.
