Three recent events have altered the landscape of emerging injectable therapies for benign prostatic hyperplasia/male lower urinary tract symptoms. First, in response to disappointing Phase II data, development of AEterna Zentaris/Spectrum/Nippon Kayaku’s ozarelix was discontinued. Second, following the recently-announced results of the TRIUMPH clinical trial, Decision Resources now forecasts that Protox Therapeutics’ emerging agent PRX-302 will launch for benign prostatic hyperplasia/male lower urinary tract symptoms. Third, in the wake of a recently-published peer-reviewed article on Nymox’s emerging agent, NX-1207, this drug has been added to our forecast. In light of these events, as well as the current status of development programs for Allergan’s Botox, Decision Resources has also revised the expected launch date for Botox.
This 15-minute analyst call, presented by Therapeutic Area Director Melissa Stolper, will answer the following questions:
- How will the discontinuation of ozarelix and the launches of PRX-302 and NX-1207 in the world’s major pharmaceutical markets impact the uptake of other emerging benign prostatic hyperplasia therapies?
- In what years will PRX-302, NX-1207, and Botox launch and in what lines of therapy will injectable agents be used in benign prostatic hyperplasia treatment?
- What affect will the uptake of novel injectable agents have on the overall market for benign prostatic hyperplasia?
Ms. Stolper will conduct a live Q & A session after the presentation.
