Amgen’s Prolia was recently approved in the United States and Europe for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis. Prolia is the first monoclonal antibody approved for the treatment of osteoporosis. Although the drug carries the potential to improve patient compliance, Prolia will compete with a number of established compounds and generic agents. Can Prolia hope to achieve substantial market share during this period of increased fiscal tightening among national health care systems?
This 15-minute analyst call, presented by Decision Resources Analyst Matthew Scutcher, Ph.D., will answer the following questions:
- What are the advantages of Prolia over currently available osteoporosis treatments?
- What clinical evidence supports the use of Prolia over current standards of care?
- What do key opinion leaders say about this drug and where do they predict the drug will be used in the current treatment paradigm?
- What is Decision Resources’ sales forecast through 2019 for Prolia and the overall osteoporosis market?
Dr. Scutcher will conduct a live Q & A session following the presentation.
