— A Pharmacor Analyst Call from Decision Resources

Based on our 2009 Pharmacor Breast Cancer report, Decision Resources is offering an exclusive Pharmacor analyst call entitled Vying for Market Share in Triple Negative Breast Cancer - Will BSI-201 be a Worthy Competitor to Avastin? Inhibition of polyadenosine 5’-diphosphoribose polymerase (PARP) has emerged as a novel therapeutic strategy in DNA-repair-deficient tumors including triple negative (estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and human epidermal growth factor receptor-negative) breast cancer. Sanofi-Aventis has recently begun a Phase III clinical trial of its PARP inhibitor, BSI-201, in metastatic triple negative breast cancer. If approved and launched, BSI-201 is expected to take considerable market share away from Roche/Chugai’s Avastin and could emerge as the market leader within this niche breast cancer setting.

In this 15-minute analyst call, Decision Resources Analyst Niamh Murphy, Ph.D., will answer the following questions:

  • What are the advantages of BSI-201 over currently available agents used to treat triple negative breast cancer?
  • If BSI-201 were to be approved for triple negative breast cancer, how will its introduction into the market impact the sales of Avastin?
  • What is Decision Resources’ sales forecast through 2018 in the world’s major pharmaceutical markets for BSI-201 in triple negative breast cancer?

Dr. Murphy will conduct a live Q & A session after the presentation.
