We believe our products and services to our customers are only as good as the people who develop them and are committed to employees' growth and success
Training and development programs play a key role in helping employees acquire the skills and tools they need. Whether it is a new employee learning a product methodology or a veteran employee learning new skills, training is part of Decision Resources’ evolution and efforts to continuously improve. Our goal is to offer a wide range of opportunities that are continuously refreshed to help people achieve success through learning.
Professional Development
Decision Resources staff has access to a wide range of courses, conferences and seminars offered outside of our training department. Our larger job families have identified career paths and the company offers tuition reimbursement for appropriate courses up to $6,000 per year.
New Employee Orientation
We provide new employee orientation using a variety of methods. Our online orientation is accessible on-demand and provides a wealth of resources and contacts to assist the new employee. We also run "Knowledge Conferences" twice a year. These week-long events provide a forum where new and existing employees enhance their knowledge on pertinent topics including sessions on the company—its vision and strategy, a review of products and staff, key methodologies and an overview of the pharmaceutical industry.
Formal Training
Our dynamic curriculum is based on the learning needs of individuals and the strategic goals of the organization. The curriculum is organized by staff position, with core courses and optional offerings for each staff level from research associate to senior analyst.
A majority of these courses are developed in conjunction with Decision Resources staff-employees are encouraged to contribute content and are called upon to be subject matter experts in helping others gain knowledge and skills. Selected courses are offered by external consultants who provide current insight into their fields of expertise. The following is a small sample of some of the training topics available to Decision Resources employees:
- Pharmaceutical Industry Overview
- Market Research and Forecasting
- Physician Interviewing Skills
- Patents and Exclusivities
- Pharmaceutical Pricing
- Presentation Skills
One-on-One Training and Mentoring
In addition to formal training and development programs, we offer one-on-one training, small group learning sessions and personalized instruction. Additionally, Decision Resources employees have the opportunity to learn through the informal coaching and mentoring provided by their managers and colleagues.
